CTET 2018 Notification

CTET 2018 Exam is going to be conducted to recruit candidates for Teaching Profile all across the country. CTET 2018 Notification is expected to be released on 12th June 2018 by Central Board of Secondary Education. Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) gives candidate an opportunity to become a teacher in various Central Government Schools

CTET 2018 Application Form

CBSE is organizing the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) in 92 cities in India. It is being conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for teacher. A person who qualifies CTET becomes eligible to apply for teaching position for classes I to VIII. Interested and eligible candidates must fill and submit online application form at official website.

 

CTET 2018 Eligibility 

For Classes I – V

Minimum Qualifications for teachers of Classes I to V have to be ANY ONE of the following:

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education(by whatever name known).

OR

  • Passed Senior Secondary exam (or its equivalent) with minimum 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

OR

  • Cleared Senior Secondary exams (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)

OR

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks. A candidate must be either appearing or passed in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

OR

  • Candidates who are Graduate and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) are also eligible for CTET 2018.

For Classes VI – VIII

  • Applicants who are Graduated and passed/appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) are eligible.

OR

  • Graduated with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

OR

  • Graduation in any discipline with 45% or more marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

OR

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

  • Cleared Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

OR

  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

CTET 2018 Exam Pattern

All questions in Central Teacher Eligibility Test will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking.

  • CTET 2018 Paper 1 is for those planning to teach class 1 to 5 (primary).
  • CTET 2018 Paper 2 will be for those planning to teach class 6 to 8 (elementary).
  • A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels will have to appear in both the papers.

Duration: 2.5 hours.

The following is expected exam pattern. Changes if any, will be updated when notification releases.

CTET 2018 Application Fee

 

The application fee for CTET 2018 examination shall be Rs 600 (Rs 300 for SC/ST/PH) for applicants choosing to appear for Paper I or II only.

However, candidates choosing to appear for both the papers shall pay Rs 1000 (Rs. 500 for SC/ST/PH).

Photograph and Signature Specifications

CTET 2018 Admit Card

The admit card/call letter for CTET 2018 exam will be uploaded on the website after the application process is completed. Candidates are required to download the CTET 2018 admit card from its official website. Admit Card will be released separately for candidates applying for Paper I, Paper II, for both Paper I and Paper II.

 

CTET 2018 Results

CTET 2018 results are expected in 45 to 60 days after the examination date i.e. by October 2018. CTET Scores are valid for a period of 7 years from the date of result declaration. Candidates who qualify will be further called for interview.
